- Petrolimex Joint Stock Tanker Company (HOSE: PJT), operating as PJTACO, is a Vietnam-based marine logistics and energy distribution enterprise primarily engaged in the maritime, coastal, and inland waterway transportation of petroleum products, petrochemicals, and liquefied gases. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the company operates as a core maritime logistics subsidiary of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex). The company conducts its operations across three primary business segments: Marine Petroleum Transportation, Commercial Petroleum Trading, and Maritime Support Services, serving state-owned oil corporations, industrial fuel consumers, regional refiners, and international charterers across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
The company provides an integrated suite of energy logistics and commercial services, including: domestic coastal and river tanker transportation for refined petroleum products, such as Mogas gasoline, automotive diesel oil, fuel oil, kerosene, and Jet A-1 aviation fuel; ocean freight transport and voyage chartering for clean and dirty petroleum cargoes; wholesale and retail distribution of commercial fuel, lubricants, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG); ship agency, customs clearance, and vessel brokerage services; technical ship management, vessel maintenance, dry-docking inspection, and repair services; marine bunkering and vessel provisioning; and commercial warehouse storage and office property leasing.
In recent operational developments, Petrolimex Joint Stock Tanker Company has advanced its fleet modernization program by divesting older, low-capacity tonnage and investing in modern, double-hull oil and chemical tankers engineered to meet International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III environmental regulations and MARPOL maritime safety standards. The company has reinforced long-term freight and time-charter agreements with domestic oil refineries, including the Dung Quat and Nghi Son refinery complexes, while expanding spot and contract charter voyages on regional Southeast Asian sea routes. In addition, the enterprise has implemented digital fleet monitoring and fuel-efficiency tracking systems across its active vessels to optimize operating costs, elevate safety compliance, and support sustainable marine transport standards.
