In May 2025, Africa Energy executed definitive agreements with Arostyle Investments (RF) Proprietary Ltd. to restructure ownership in Main Street, securing 100% of ordinary and Class B shares while settling inter-party loans and positioning for 75% control of Block 11B/12B following the withdrawal of prior joint venture partners in July 2024; the company paused its Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Block 11B/12B in late 2025 pending review of a Western Cape High Court ruling on related offshore activities, with an extension granted to May 2026, and continues stakeholder engagements for offtake agreements alongside technical development scenarios.
