Founded in 2009, IAG is headquartered in Harmondsworth, United Kingdom. Recent strategic developments include the finalization of the acquisition of Air Europa, enhancing IAG's market position with expected yearly revenue contribution of approximately €1.2 billion. The group has invested over €400 million in sustainable aviation fuel initiatives, underscoring its commitment to environmental sustainability. IAG also announced major aircraft orders in 2025, including up to 76 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, with deliveries allocated across British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus to modernize and expand its fleet. A strategic partnership with American Airlines aims to enhance transatlantic capacity by 15%, alongside the rollout of advanced inflight Wi-Fi connectivity across more than 500 aircraft. Additionally, IAG continues share buyback programs to manage treasury shares as part of its capital allocation strategy. IAG operates primarily in the airline industry segment targeting international and domestic passenger and cargo markets, with its subsidiaries maintaining distinct brand identities focused on different geographic and market segments. The company remains listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Madrid Stock Exchange, maintaining a significant presence in the global commercial aviation industry. Its comprehensive scope includes airline operations, aircraft fleet management, loyalty program administration, and expanded air freight and cargo services through its integrated airline group structure. These broad operational capabilities position IAG as one of the largest and most diversified airline groups globally.
