(NYSE: ICE) operates global exchanges, clearing houses, mortgage technology platforms, fixed income pricing, reference data, indices, analytics, execution services, and data connectivity solutions for financial institutions, corporations, governments, asset managers, hedgers, and investors worldwide. Founded in 2000 by Jeffrey C. Sprecher and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company conducts business across the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada, Singapore, India, Israel, Abu Dhabi, and other regions through three primary segments: Exchanges, which provide regulated marketplace technology for listing, trading, and clearing derivatives contracts including futures and options on agriculture, financials, crude oil, refined products, electricity, natural gas, UK natural gas, and other commodities, as well as equity securities via the New York Stock Exchange; Fixed Income & Data Services, which deliver fixed income pricing and reference data, indices such as ICE BofA, execution platforms like ICE Bonds, global credit default swaps clearing, multi-asset class data delivery technology, and over 5,000 equity, fixed income, commodity, and foreign exchange indices supporting approximately $670 billion in passively managed assets under management and $2 trillion across active and passive strategies; and Mortgage Technology, which offers end-to-end digital workflow tools including the Encompass loan origination system, data and analytics, closing solutions, servicing platforms like MSP, and solutions spanning the U.S. residential mortgage lifecycle from origination to secondary markets. ICE serves institutional investors, traders, listed companies, clearing members, mortgage lenders, servicers, and regional banks through its digital networks that enhance market transparency, efficiency, and risk management. Recent developments include the January 2025 acquisition of the American Financial Exchange (AFX) from 7RIDGE to expand interbank lending services for U.S. regional, midsize, community, and minority-owned banks, complementing its mortgage technology and index offerings with AFX's AMERIBOR benchmark; a strategic investment announced in October 2025 of up to $2 billion in Polymarket at an $8 billion valuation, alongside becoming a distributor of its event-driven data for sentiment indicators; and a partnership with United Wholesale Mortgage announced in 2025 to deploy the MSP loan servicing system, bolstering recurring revenue in mortgage technology.
