Business
PT Agro Bahari Nusantara Tbk is an Indonesia-based aquaculture enterprise primarily engaged in the commercial breeding, cultivation, harvesting, and wholesale distribution of brackish water crustaceans, specializing in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, the company operates intensive and super-intensive shrimp farming facilities situated in Sika Village, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The company operates within the agricultural and primary consumer staples sector, supplying domestic seafood aggregators, commercial distributors, and processing facilities. The company's core operations and service lines comprise: the cultivation and commercial supply of fresh and frozen Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei); the operation of intensive and super-intensive grow-out pond systems; biosecurity and aquatic nursery management; post-harvest handling and wholesale distribution; multi-stage reservoir water preparation and aeration infrastructure management; and biological wastewater treatment plant (IPAL) operations designed for environmental sustainability and disease prevention. In recent strategic developments, PT Agro Bahari Nusantara Tbk completed its initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the ticker UDNG in October 2023. Following the listing, the company initiated a major operational expansion through its majority-owned subsidiary, PT Marina Bahari Sentosa (MBS), utilizing capital proceeds to construct between 30 and 40 new production ponds aimed at scaling annual harvest capacity from approximately 200–250 metric tons to 850 metric tons. Additionally, in April 2024, the company entered into a strategic technology partnership with aquaculture technology firm PT Jala Akuakultur Lestari Alamku (JALA) to deploy Internet of Things (IoT) water quality monitoring devices and digital farm management software across its ponds, optimizing yield predictability and disease mitigation protocols.
