The Original Equipment segment accounts for the majority of sales, emphasizing lightweighting for extended range in electric vehicles and fuel efficiency in combustion engines alongside hybrid and fuel cell technologies. In recent strategic developments, ElringKlinger AG completed the divestiture of its subsidiaries in Sevelen, Switzerland, and Buford, Georgia, USA, to the Certina Group in late 2024 as part of its SHAPE30 transformation strategy to sharpen its corporate profile, reduce investments in underperforming thermal and acoustic shielding operations and concentrate on profitable core areas like e-mobility components; the company discontinued its electric drive unit systems business to prioritize components, ramped up production of cell contacting systems in Neuffen, Germany, for high-volume orders with series production preparations in China and establishment of a Battery Hub Americas in South Carolina, USA; additionally, ElringKlinger concluded a new syndicated loan agreement with seven banks in early 2025 providing financing flexibility up to EUR 600 million to support transformation efforts, while reporting organic revenue growth outperforming global automotive market trends in Q1 2025 amid ongoing site network consolidation and review of non-core shareholdings like hofer AG.
