IonQ, Inc. develops and commercializes trapped-ion quantum computers and related networking, sensing, and security technologies for commercial, research, and government applications worldwide. The company offers high-performance quantum systems including IonQ Aria, IonQ Forte, IonQ Forte Enterprise with 36 algorithmic qubits, and IonQ Tempo for production workloads; quantum computing access via cloud platforms such as Amazon Braket, Microsoft Azure Quantum, and Google Cloud Marketplace; quantum key distribution systems, quantum random number generators, and single-photon detectors; and professional services for hardware maintenance, support, and custom implementations. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in College Park, Maryland, with a manufacturing facility in Bothell, Washington, and operations spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other regions, IonQ provides its solutions to enterprise customers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, finance, logistics, cybersecurity, aerospace, and climate technology. In recent developments, IonQ completed acquisitions of Oxford Ionics in September 2025 to advance scalable ion-trap-on-chip technology, Vector Atomic to enhance quantum sensing capabilities, and others including Qubitekk, Capella Space, and Lightsynq Technologies; formed partnerships such as a Swiss consortium for a citywide quantum network in Geneva, a collaboration with Emergence Quantum in Australia, and selection as primary quantum partner by South Korea's KISTI; priced a $2.0 billion equity offering; and raised its full-year 2025 revenue guidance to $106 million-$110 million amid 222% year-over-year Q3 growth. Niccolò de Masi serves as president and CEO since February 2025, succeeding Peter Chapman who transitioned to executive chair.
