Business
Heritage Distilling Holding Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPST) produces and markets premium craft spirits including whiskeys such as Special Operations Salute Whiskey, 1st Special Forces Group Whiskey, Cocoa Bomb Chocolate Whiskey, Stiefel’s Select, Elk Rider series, and BATCH NO. 12; vodkas encompassing the HDC series of more than 20 naturally flavored varieties; gins like Florescence; rums; aquavit; and ready-to-drink cocktails, all crafted primarily from local, sustainably sourced ingredients using a field-to-flask approach. The company operates through wholesale distribution, direct-to-consumer e-commerce across 46 states, and the Tribal Beverage Network (TBN) initiative partnering with Native American tribes to develop Heritage-branded distilleries, tasting rooms, and tribe-specific brands for casino and entertainment venues. Heritage Distilling Holding Company maintains two production distilleries and tasting rooms in Washington and Oregon, including sites in Gig Harbor, Tumwater, Roslyn, and Eugene. Founded in 2011 by Justin and Jennifer Stiefel and U.S. Army veterans Drew and Sara Kellerman, the company is headquartered in Gig Harbor, Washington, and ranks as North America's most awarded craft distillery by the American Distilling Institute for ten consecutive years among nearly 3,000 entrants. In October 2025, Heritage announced a strategic restructuring transitioning to an asset-light model by closing all company-owned tasting rooms and shifting spirits production to third-party partners effective December 31, 2025, to cut annual operating expenses by over $5 million including $1.1 million in production overhead while reducing revenues by about $3 million and working capital needs by more than $2 million; this follows its November 2024 Nasdaq IPO achieving positive EBITDA and net income for the first time, a $15 million equity line of credit formalized in February 2025, and over $19 million in prior liability reductions.
