Recently, Ingersoll Rand has pursued an active strategy of acquisitions and portfolio expansions to bolster its capabilities and market reach. Notable transactions within the last two years include the acquisition of Termomeccanica Industrial Compressors S.p.A. and its subsidiary Adicomp in July 2025 for approximately €160 million, enhancing the company's core competencies in compressor technologies. In the first half of 2025, it acquired G & D Chillers and Advanced Gas Technologies for $27 million to improve air treatment and gas generation capabilities. The company also launched new oil-free rotary screw air compressors in 2024 that offer enhanced efficiency, reliability, and environmental sustainability with reduced energy consumption. Ingersoll Rand’s strategic focus includes innovation in sustainable technologies, expanding niche market penetration, and leveraging its M&A "flywheel" to drive growth and shareholder value while maintaining strong operational discipline.
