Business
Integer Holdings Corporation (NYSE: ITGR), headquartered in Plano, Texas, operates as a leading medical device contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), providing innovative components, sub-assemblies, finished systems, and outsourcing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide; its core offerings span cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, cardio and vascular markets, including catheters, guidewires, introducers, delivery systems, steerable sheaths, implantable batteries, pacemaker batteries, tantalum capacitors, implantable ports, neuromodulation devices, precision micro machining, neurovascular solutions, advanced catheter technologies, braiding, textiles, machined parts, and rechargeable batteries/chargers for patient monitoring, ventilators, defibrillators, ultrasound, X-ray machines, and hearing devices, delivered through brands Greatbatch Medical and Lake Region Medical. The company maintains a global footprint across four continents with manufacturing and R&D facilities supporting over 15 medical markets and serving major OEMs such as Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic. Founded in 1970 and formerly known as Greatbatch Inc. until its rebranding in 2016, Integer traces its legacy to pioneering innovations dating back to the 1940s, including precursors like Uniform Tubes, Lake Region Manufacturing, and Wilson Greatbatch's implantable pacemaker advancements. In recent strategic shifts, Integer divested its non-medical Electrochem battery business to Ultralife Corporation for $50 million in October 2024, positioning itself as a pure-play medical device CDMO and freeing capital to reduce debt and pursue inorganic growth. The company completed acquisitions of InNeuroCo and Pulse Technologies in early 2024, bolstering neurovascular, advanced catheter, and precision micro machining capabilities, followed by the $152 million purchase of Precision Coating in 2025 to enhance coatings expertise for high-growth medtech segments. These moves, alongside robust cardio and vascular sales growth of 15% in Q3 2025 driven by new product ramps, underscore Integer's focus on portfolio optimization, innovation acceleration, and market expansion in structural heart, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, and emerging clinical areas.
