Business
Iveco Group N.V. designs, manufactures, markets, sells, services, and finances commercial and specialty vehicles, powertrains, and related financial services worldwide. The company operates through five segments—Truck, Bus, Defence, Powertrain, and Financial Services—and offers light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks for goods transportation and distribution under the IVECO brand; minibuses, city buses, intercity buses, and coaches under the IVECO BUS and HEULIEZ brands; specialized vehicles for civil defense and peacekeeping under the IDV brand; and large-scale heavy-duty quarry and construction vehicles under the ASTRA brand; along with powertrains, combustion engines, alternative propulsion systems, transmissions, and axles for on- and off-road, marine, and power generation applications under the FPT Industrial brand; complemented by financing solutions through IVECO CAPITAL. Founded in 1975 through the merger of Italian, French, and German truck brands and established as a standalone entity via demerger from CNH Industrial in January 2022, Iveco Group N.V. has its statutory seat in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and headquarters in Turin, Italy, with production facilities in Europe, China, Australia, and Latin America, serving over 160 countries. In recent developments, Tata Motors announced its intent to acquire Iveco Group in July 2025, aiming to create a global commercial vehicle leader with combined annual sales exceeding 540,000 units and revenues around €22 billion across Europe, India, and the Americas, with the transaction expected to close by March 2026 pending approvals. Additionally, in October 2025, DLL acquired a 51% stake in Iveco Group's GATE subsidiary to form a joint venture focused on financing low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles in Europe, building on GATE's rental solutions launched in Italy in 2023 and expanded to France and Germany in 2024.
