Julius Baer Gruppe AG is a Swiss multinational private banking and wealth management group headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and founded in 1890. The company specializes in serving private clients and independent asset managers through an extensive range of services including investment advisory and discretionary mandates; structured products, securities execution and advisory; private markets and fund offerings; wealth planning and family office services; lombard and bespoke lending solutions; real estate financing; selective trading services; open product platform solutions; foreign exchange; and precious metals. Julius Baer operates in approximately 25 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East with around 60 locations and over 7,500 employees, managing CHF 520 billion in assets as of October 2025. In recent developments, the group received in-principle approval for a new advisory office in Abu Dhabi to expand its Gulf presence, announced plans for a Milan branch opening in early 2025 and a Lisbon expansion, expects to close the sale of its Brazil operations in the first quarter of 2025, appointed former HSBC CEO Noel Quinn as Chairman effective May 2025 following the annual general meeting, named Victoria McLean as Chief Compliance Officer effective February 2026, reduced the size of its Executive Board from 15 to 5 members under CEO Stefan Bollinger, and announced plans to cut over 400 jobs primarily in Switzerland as part of cost-cutting and de-risking initiatives including a CHF 700 million reduction in certain loan book positions.
