JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a U.S.-based global financial services company that provides consumer and business banking, commercial banking, investment banking, payments, markets, securities services, asset management and wealth-management solutions through its Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial & Investment Bank, and Asset & Wealth Management segments, with remaining activities reported in Corporate. The company serves consumers, small businesses, middle-market companies, large corporations, governments, financial institutions, investors, financial sponsors and high-net-worth clients worldwide. Its Consumer & Community Banking operations, principally under the Chase brand, offer checking and savings accounts; certificates of deposit; debit and credit cards, including Chase-branded card products and Ultimate Rewards programs; digital and mobile banking; merchant acquiring and connected-commerce services; home loans and mortgage servicing; auto financing; small-business lending and payment solutions; and branch-based banking and advisory services. Commercial & Investment Bank operations provide corporate lending; treasury and cash-management services; wholesale payments; trade and working-capital finance; investment banking advisory for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and capital raising; debt and equity underwriting; sales, trading and market-making in equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities, derivatives and securitized products; prime finance; research; securities services, including custody, fund administration and collateral management; and payments infrastructure for multinational corporations and financial institutions. Asset & Wealth Management operations provide investment management, brokerage, fiduciary, private banking, lending, estate planning, retirement and wealth-planning services; mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, separately managed accounts, alternatives and liquidity products; and investment solutions for institutions, intermediaries, retirement plans, governments, endowments, foundations and individual investors. The company operates under the J.P. Morgan, Chase and J.P. Morgan Asset Management brands and maintains operations across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. JPMorgan Chase & Co. was formed in 2000 through the merger of J.P. Morgan & Co. and The Chase Manhattan Corporation, traces its heritage to 1799, and is headquartered at 270 Park Avenue in New York, New York. Recent strategic initiatives include an ongoing multibillion-dollar U.S. retail expansion program under which Chase plans to open more than 160 branches in over 30 states and renovate nearly 600 locations during 2026, with expansion concentrated in markets including North and South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Massachusetts and Tennessee. The firm continues to invest heavily in technology, digital banking, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and payments capabilities, with 2026 technology spending projected at approximately $19.8 billion and plans to deploy autonomous artificial-intelligence agents across internal workflows. JPMorgan Chase has also expanded its consumer digital-assets offering through a partnership with Coinbase, enabling eligible Chase customers to link bank accounts to crypto wallets, transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Coinbase and use Chase credit cards for crypto-related purchases. In 2025, the company acquired Omada, a Denmark-based provider of identity-governance and administration software, expanding its cybersecurity and identity-management capabilities. During 2026, the company reorganized senior management by appointing Doug Petno and Troy Rohrbaugh as Co-Presidents, while continuing to prioritize organic growth, global banking expansion, branch development, digital-platform investment and client-facing technology initiatives.
