Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Durban, South Africa, at 20 Aberdare Drive, Phoenix Industrial Park, Trellidor Holdings changed its name from Trellicor Holding Proprietary Limited in September 2015. In June 2025, the company sold its Taylor Blinds and NMC South Africa subsidiaries for up to R90 million to refocus on core Trellidor operations, reduce debt, lower overheads, and enhance returns; this disposal, completed unconditionally by August 2025, supports geographical franchise expansion and resource allocation to non-residential markets, contributing to fiscal year 2025 revenue of R578 million and net income of R42 million.
