Business
Heungkuk Metaltech Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based industrial manufacturer primarily engaged in the development, manufacturing, and global distribution of undercarriage components and precision forged steel parts for heavy construction equipment. Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Asan-si, South Korea, the company operates an integrated manufacturing framework covering hot die forging, high-frequency heat treatment, friction welding, CNC machining, and automated assembly. Its primary product portfolio comprises heavy equipment undercarriage systems, including track rollers; carrier rollers; front and rear idler assemblies; tension cylinders and track adjusters; drive sprockets; track link assemblies; and floating seals for crawler excavators, bulldozers, and crawler cranes. Additionally, the company produces precision hot die-forged industrial components, including transmission gears; gear shafts; crank mechanisms; and structural forged parts for commercial automotive and machinery applications. Heungkuk Metaltech serves major global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)—including Volvo Construction Equipment, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, HD Hyundai Infracore, and John Deere—as well as international aftermarket equipment channels. The company operates domestic production facilities in South Korea and maintains global manufacturing and sales subsidiaries in the United States, India, China, and Japan. In recent strategic developments, Heungkuk Metaltech announced a multi-year corporate value enhancement initiative committing to a 20% to 30% dividend payout ratio, structured capital expenditure management, and improved operational cash flows. Operationally, the company has expanded production capacity and financing support for its manufacturing operations in India to capture high-growth South Asian infrastructure demand, advanced its customer diversification strategy across North American and European markets, and integrated smart factory automation alongside proprietary water-spray heat treatment and friction welding technologies to improve cost competitiveness and component durability.
