In addition to commercial API supply, HL GENOMICS provides comprehensive contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and contract manufacturing organization (CMO) services, which include custom chemical synthesis route development; process optimization and scale-up; impurity profiling and control; crystallization and polymorph engineering; analytical method development and validation; and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant regulatory documentation support for domestic and international pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Founded in November 2000 as a spin-off from Hanlim Pharm Co., Ltd., HL GENOMICS is headquartered in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where it operates its primary GMP-certified synthesis and research facilities. In August 2025, the company formally updated its corporate name to HL GENOMICS Co., Ltd. to signify its strategic expansion into high-value global CDMO and specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing. In July 2026, the company completed its initial public offering (IPO) and successfully listed its shares on the KOSDAQ market of the Korea Exchange under the ticker 0156T0. To address full capacity utilization at its existing facility and support growing global demand, the company initiated the construction of a second manufacturing plant in Yongin scheduled across 2026 to 2028, expanding the facility footprint approximately 4.4-fold and increasing overall API synthesis capacity by up to two-fold with flexible commercial and pilot-scale production lines. HL GENOMICS is also pursuing new strategic initiatives and co-commercialization agreements in advanced drug delivery technologies, including microneedle vaccine platforms, while broadening its customer base beyond its long-standing parent affiliate Hanlim Pharm to global markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.
