Business
HeunguOil Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based downstream energy distribution and retail enterprise primarily engaged in the wholesale and retail marketing of refined petroleum fuels, liquefied petroleum gas, and automotive lubricants, as well as the management and leasing of service station infrastructure. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Daegu, South Korea, the company operates as an authorized regional distribution partner for GS Caltex Corporation, supplying commercial, industrial, and retail customers primarily across the Daegu metropolitan area and the Gyeongsangbuk-do province. The company operates through several core product and service categories: refined petroleum fuels, comprising regular and premium unleaded gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, commercial kerosene, boiler heating oils, and heavy fuel oils; automotive and industrial lubricants, comprising motor engine oils, hydraulic oils, gear lubricants, and industrial greases sourced through GS Caltex product lines such as Kixx; liquefied petroleum gas products, comprising autogas LPG for dual-fuel motor vehicles, commercial propane mixtures, and residential butane canisters; service station network operations, comprising the direct ownership, franchised dealer supply, and daily operation of branded gas stations, LPG charging stations, and on-site automated vehicle washing facilities; and commercial property leasing, comprising the leasing of service station land, fuel storage infrastructure, commercial buildings, and fuel dispensing machinery. In recent company developments, HeunguOil Co., Ltd. has executed several strategic, governance, and operational initiatives, including the publication and adoption of a corporate value-enhancement roadmap aimed at optimizing capital efficiency and shareholder returns; the strategic execution of treasury share disposals to reinforce operational liquidity; the continuous modernization of its regional gas station network through the deployment of automated payment technologies and updated car wash facilities; the realignment of its commercial leasing portfolio to maximize fixed rental yields from prime real estate holdings; and board-level governance transitions involving next-generation executive appointments and management succession planning.
