Business
KC Feed Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based agribusiness and food manufacturing company primarily engaged in the production and distribution of formulated animal feeds, processed egg products, and organic fertilizers. Founded in May 1970 as Gyeongbuk Livestock Co., Ltd. and headquartered in Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, the company operates an integrated livestock value chain that encompasses animal nutrition manufacturing, commercial poultry farming, egg processing, and agricultural waste recycling. The company is listed on the KOSDAQ market under ticker 025880. The company operates across four principal business segments: Feed Business, Food Business, Fertilizer Business, and Financial Services. Its product and service offerings comprise: formulated feeds for laying hens, broilers, swine, beef cattle, dairy cattle, and quail marketed under commercial brand names including Top Plus and Hi-Top; pasteurized and extended-shelf-life (ESL) liquid egg products, including whole liquid eggs, liquid egg whites, and liquid egg yolks marketed under the O'Lab and I am Egg brands; organic compost and bio-fertilizers manufactured from recycled livestock manure marketed under the Bongseonhwa brand; commercial layer farm operations managed through its subsidiary KC Farm Co., Ltd.; and micro-financing and credit services provided through its subsidiary KC Loan Finance Co., Ltd. The company serves livestock farmers, agricultural cooperatives, industrial bakeries, institutional catering providers, and packaged food manufacturers throughout South Korea. In recent developments, KC Feed Co., Ltd. acquired Jinsung Co., Ltd., a specialized raw material and feed logistics transportation company, to optimize supply chain efficiencies and raw material sourcing. The company also signed a strategic investment agreement with the Geochang-gun local government to support the ongoing development and expansion of its food manufacturing infrastructure. To comply with heightened domestic safety regulations concerning unpasteurized egg distribution, KC Feed expanded its specialized pasteurization lines at its Geochang plant while securing renewed Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certifications across both its Yeongcheon feed mill and Geochang food processing facilities. Furthermore, the company established research partnerships and memorandums of understanding to develop low-carbon, methane-reducing eco-friendly livestock feed formulations.
