The company's core product portfolio encompasses marine cranes, including hose handling cranes; provision cranes; engine room cranes; deck and cargo cranes; knuckle and telescopic boom cranes; and life-saving davit systems; offshore machinery, including offshore pedestal cranes; mooring winches; anchor handling winches; windlasses; and customized material handling equipment; and eco-friendly maritime systems, comprising IMO Type B and Type C liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tanks; LNG pump towers; fuel gas supply systems; and cryogenic storage units. In addition, KS Industry offers heavy fabricated steel structures; shipyard planning, plant design, and construction engineering consultancy; automated welding process development; and comprehensive after-sales maintenance, inspection, and repair services. Founded in 1988 as Dongnam Enterprise and later known as DMC Co., Ltd., the company is headquartered in Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, and maintains production facilities in Gwangyang and Haman-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. In recent corporate developments, the company officially changed its name from Sangsangin Industry Co., Ltd. to KS Industry Co., Ltd. in mid-2024 following a change in controlling ownership and organizational restructuring. Over 2025 and 2026, the company implemented executive leadership realignments and completed capital raising initiatives, including private convertible bond issuances, to finance intellectual property acquisitions, scale manufacturing capacity for high-value green ship technologies, and accelerate commercial expansion in specialized LNG fuel tank systems and advanced offshore equipment.
