Business
BIO PORT KOREA, INC. is a South Korea-based food and beverage manufacturing company specializing in the research, production, and global distribution of specialty teas, functional beverages, processed seafood snacks, and convenience foods. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Busan, South Korea, the company commercializes its product portfolio under proprietary brand names including Balance Grow, Mama's Choice, Frenary, and Tastas, alongside private-label original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and original design manufacturing (ODM) services. The company's core product offerings encompass concentrated liquid and fruit teas, including Honey Citron Tea, Honey Citron & Ginger Tea, Honey Lemon Tea, Aloe Tea, Peach & Oolong Tea, and Passion Fruit Tea; ready-to-drink beverages and wellness drinks, including cold-pressed watermelon juice, CCA (carrot, cabbage, apple) juice, and instant iced tea mixes; seafood and protein snacks, including fried calamari snacks, sweet chili squid chips, buttery roasted calamari, cheese calamari, fried dried filefish (jwipo) snacks, garlic butter shrimp chips, and seasoned dried fish jerky; agricultural snacks, including crispy sweet potato fries, mixed vegetable chips, and traditional seasoned seaweed crisps (bugak); and frozen home meal replacement (HMR) products, including deep-fried vegetable seaweed rolls (gimmari) and pre-packaged meal components. BIO PORT KOREA serves retail consumers and wholesale partners across South Korea and international export markets, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, China, and Southeast Asia. The company distributes its products through major global warehouse club retailers, supermarket chains, convenience stores, specialty grocers, and cross-border e-commerce platforms. In recent corporate developments, BIO PORT KOREA completed its public listing on the KOSDAQ market of the Korea Exchange (Ticker: 188040) in May 2025 through a business combination with DB Financial No. 11 Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC). Following the listing, the company expanded the international shelf presence of its flagship Balance Grow liquid teas and seafood snack lines across multinational retail networks, introduced new functional beverage lineups and value-added snack formulations to capitalize on global demand for K-Food, and initiated strategic merger and acquisition evaluations to strengthen digital commerce operations and broaden overseas distribution infrastructure.
