KT Corporation (KRX: 030200; NYSE: KT), South Korea's second-largest integrated telecommunications provider founded in 1981 and headquartered in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, offers a comprehensive portfolio of wireline and wireless services including fixed-line telephony via public switched telephone network and voice-over-Internet protocol; high-speed broadband Internet through fiber-optic and gigabit-capable connections; mobile communications encompassing 4G LTE, 5G standalone networks with 80.7% penetration, roaming, and value-added plans; IPTV and media content platforms with live streaming, video-on-demand, and interactive services; enterprise solutions such as cloud computing, data centers, IoT platforms, AI-driven platforms including proprietary models like Mi:dm 2.0, Medium K 2.0, SotaK developed with Microsoft, and LamaK; international private leased circuits, MPLS-VPN, Ethernet, global IDC, and IP-transit; as well as satellite services and smart home offerings, primarily targeting residential, business, and government customers in South Korea, with global operations extending to the United States, Japan, China, Bangladesh, Rwanda, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Brunei, Poland, and South Africa. In recent developments, KT signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with DigitalBridge in November 2025 to jointly develop gigawatt-scale AI data centers and cloud infrastructure in Korea; launched three new AI large language models and expanded its AI innovation hub as highlighted in its Q3 2025 earnings with 16% operating profit growth; completed a KRW 250 billion share buyback; committed KRW 1 trillion over five years to information security investments; and advanced AI collaborations including with Microsoft for Korea-specific models and agents integrated into Genie TV, alongside securing major public-sector AI platform projects.
