Labcorp Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LH), headquartered in Burlington, North Carolina, and founded in 1971, operates as a global life sciences and healthcare company that provides comprehensive laboratory diagnostics and biopharma drug development services across more than 100 countries, with primary operations in the United States; the company conducts business through two main segments, Diagnostics Laboratories and Biopharma Laboratory Services. The Diagnostics Laboratories segment offers routine clinical testing and specialty/esoteric testing, including over 5,000 tests in areas such as oncology, genetics and genomics, women's health, autoimmune diseases, neurology, HIV genotyping and phenotyping, employment screening, DNA parentage and immigration testing, environmental monitoring, wellness, toxicology, pain management, and medical drug monitoring, delivered via approximately 2,000 patient service centers, more than 6,000 in-office phlebotomists, rapid response laboratories, primary laboratories, specialty laboratories, and 50 at-home tests, processing over 700 million tests annually for patients, physicians, hospitals, health systems, managed care organizations, employers, governments, and consumers. The Biopharma Laboratory Services segment delivers end-to-end drug development, medical device, and diagnostic development support to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, crop protection, and chemical companies, encompassing early development research, central laboratory services, clinical trial testing, and companion diagnostics, supporting more than 75% of new FDA-approved drugs and therapeutics in 2024. In recent developments, Labcorp completed the acquisition of select oncology and clinical testing assets from BioReference Health in September 2025 for up to $225 million to bolster its oncology leadership; acquired assets of Invitae in August 2024 for $239 million to expand genetic testing capabilities; signed agreements to acquire select assets of Empire City Laboratories and Laboratory Alliance of Central New York in 2025 while progressing the Community Health Systems outreach business acquisition across 13 states; launched new Alzheimer's neurology tests, Labcorp Test Finder tool, and consumer tests via Labcorp OnDemand; invested $268.4 million in acquisitions and partnerships during Q3 2025; and expanded its credit facility to $700 million in January 2025.
