Business
Lendlease Group (ASX: LLC; OTC: LLESY) operates as an integrated international property and infrastructure company, focusing on the design, development, construction, funding, ownership, co-investment, and management of property and infrastructure assets; its core offerings span residential communities and apartments, commercial offices and retail spaces, mixed-use urban regeneration projects, retirement living facilities, industrial properties, social infrastructure including educational and government buildings, and energy solutions such as solar and privatized military housing; the company delivers these through four primary segments including Investments for fund and asset management of residential, office, retail, industrial, retirement, and infrastructure assets; Development for inner-city mixed-use precincts, communities, retail, commercial assets, and economic infrastructure; Construction for building projects; and a Capital Release Unit for divestments. Founded in 1958 by Dick Dusseldorp and headquartered at Level 14, Tower Three, International Towers Sydney in Barangaroo, Australia, Lendlease conducts operations across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, with approximately 13,000 employees and funds under management exceeding $49 billion. In recent strategic shifts announced in May 2024, the company simplifies its structure by divesting international construction operations including the sale of its UK construction division to Atlas Holdings effective December 2024, the US East Coast business to Consigli Building Group in September 2024, and partnering in a 50-50 joint venture with The Crown Estate for six UK development sites valued over £20 billion such as Silvertown Quays, Thamesmead, Stratford Cross, and Euston Station; it also completed over $2.5 billion in capital recycling initiatives, achieved $141 million in annual run-rate cost savings through management streamlining, acquired a S$1.6 billion portfolio via the Vita Partners Life Sciences joint venture, sold its communities business to Stockland and Supalai for A$1.06 billion, and targets further Australian development pipeline replenishment with $25 billion in bids while planning a $500 million securities buyback in FY26.
