Lenovo Group Limited Lenovo Group Limited (LNVGY) is a multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells a broad portfolio of intelligent end-to-end devices and solutions, including personal computers such as ThinkPad and IdeaPad laptops, ThinkCentre and IdeaCentre desktops, Yoga convertibles, and Legion gaming systems; tablets like the Lenovo Tab series; workstations such as ThinkStation and ThinkPad P-series; servers and data center infrastructure including ThinkSystem servers, edge computing devices like the ThinkSystem SE350, and storage solutions; smartphones under the Motorola brand featuring razr foldables with moto AI; supercomputers; monitors; PC accessories; hybrid cloud and AI platforms; and services encompassing asset recovery, security, professional implementation, and Hybrid AI Advantage advisory programs for industries including manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and healthcare. Lenovo operates globally with principal facilities in Beijing and Hong Kong, China, where it maintains its headquarters, as well as key operational centers in Morrisville, North Carolina, USA; Singapore; Shanghai and Shenzhen, China; and multiple sites in India, serving enterprise, commercial, consumer, education, gaming, and government customers across more than 180 markets with approximately 77,000 employees and $69 billion in annual revenue as a Fortune Global 500 company ranked 196. Founded in 1984 in Beijing as Legend Holdings by Liu Chuanzhi and engineers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the company rebranded to Lenovo in 2003, went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994, acquired IBM's PC division including ThinkPad in 2005 to become a global PC leader, added IBM's x86 server business and Motorola Mobility in 2014, and launched its Intelligent Transformation strategy in 2019 focused on client, edge, cloud, network, and intelligence technologies. Recent developments include the completion in January 2025 of a US$2 billion strategic investment and collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Alat via convertible bonds to expand manufacturing, R&D, retail, and market presence in the Middle East and Africa while supporting Saudi Vision 2030; the announcement in January 2025 of an agreement to acquire Infinidat Ltd. to enhance high-end enterprise storage offerings; expansion of the Hybrid AI Advantage program in June 2025 with new advisory services, industry-specific AI solutions, and hardware like the ThinkSystem SR680a V4 server featuring Intel Xeon 6 processors and NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs for up to 11 times faster AI inferencing; a February 2025 partnership expansion with IBM for generative AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia; launches of innovative products such as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 rollable display laptop, Legion Go S handheld gaming device, and enhanced Motorola razr smartphones; and strong fiscal year 2024/25 results with double-digit tablet growth, record software and services revenue, and leadership in AI PCs and foldables.
