Business
Mobilezone Holding AG (MOZN.SW) is a Switzerland-based holding company for the mobilezone Group, which operates as the leading independent telecommunications specialist focused on retailing mobile and fixed-line telephony, digital TV, and Internet services from major network operators in Switzerland and Germany. The company offers a comprehensive range of smartphones, tablets, wearables, and accessories through over 125 retail stores in Switzerland, online platforms, and wholesale channels; provides postpaid and prepaid subscriptions under brands including TalkTalk, Digital Republic, and jusit for refurbished devices; delivers business telecommunications solutions via mobilezone business for SMEs and large enterprises; and supplies repair and logistics services through mobilezone reload and mobilezone workshop for devices from various manufacturers. Geographic operations span Switzerland, with headquarters in Rotkreuz, and Germany via subsidiaries such as mobilezone GmbH and mobilezone Handel, serving private consumers, businesses, and B2B partners; the group was founded in 1999 and employs nearly 1,000 staff across sites including Rotkreuz, Urnäsch, Cologne, Münster, and Bochum. In October 2025, mobilezone announced the sale of its German business units—mobilezone Deutschland GmbH, mobilezone GmbH, and mobilezone exchange GmbH—to freenet AG's subsidiary for approximately EUR 230 million, subject to antitrust approval and expected to close in Q4 2025, enabling a strategic refocus on the Swiss domestic market; earlier in 2025, the company expanded its MVNO position, completed a share buyback for capital reduction, validated Science Based Targets initiative climate goals, appointed Bernhard Mächler as Group CFO, and maintained a stable dividend of CHF 0.90 per share.
