Business
Intuitive Machines, Inc. Intuitive Machines, Inc. designs, manufactures, and operates space products and services that enable sustained robotic and human exploration to the Moon, Mars, and beyond, with core offerings spanning delivery services for transportation and payload delivery including satellites, scientific instruments, and cargo via its flight-proven Nova-C lunar lander family; data transmission services encompassing collection, processing, and interpretation of space-based data through command, control, communications, reconnaissance, and prospecting applications; and infrastructure as a service providing scalable on-demand lunar systems for navigation, maintenance, scientific data collection, and system health monitoring. The company, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, holds multiple NASA contracts under the Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative for lunar surface payload delivery, Near Space Network Services for lunar data relay satellites, and Lunar Terrain Vehicle capabilities, while serving U.S. government entities including NASA and the Department of Defense alongside commercial and international customers primarily in the United States. Recent developments include the November 2025 completion of its $800 million acquisition of Lanteris Space Systems, formerly Maxar Space Systems, to expand satellite manufacturing and national security capabilities; the August 2025 acquisition of KinetX Aerospace for $30 million to enhance navigation and deep space operations; an $8.2 million U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory contract extension for next-generation nuclear power systems; and progression of lunar missions such as IM-3 targeting early 2026 deployment of data relay satellites and IM-4 for south pole operations with NASA and European Space Agency payloads.
