Business
Mativ Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MATV) manufactures and markets specialty materials and engineered solutions worldwide. Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, and incorporated in 1995, the company operates through two primary segments, Filtration & Advanced Materials and Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions; it generates sales in nearly 100 countries with manufacturing facilities on three continents. The Filtration & Advanced Materials segment produces engineered polymer, resin, and fiber-based substrates, nets, films, adhesive tapes, nonwovens, filter media, cores, tubes, and performance materials for filtration, industrial netting, protective solutions, healthcare, and other end markets. The Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions segment offers precision-coated tapes, release liners, specialty papers, packaging, labels, skin-friendly adhesives, submarine cable tapes, and healthcare products serving industrials, packaging, graphic arts, composites, and consumer applications. Mativ serves business-to-business and consumer markets across diversified sectors including healthcare, transportation, construction, agriculture, automotive, personal care, wound care, and sustainable packaging through brands such as Argotec for specialty thermoplastic polyurethane films, Scapa Healthcare for advanced wound care and bonding products, and others focused on nonwovens, netting, and contract manufacturing. Formed in July 2022 through the merger of Schweitzer-Mauduit International and Neenah, which was previously known as SWM and Neenah respectively, Mativ completed the sale of its Engineered Papers business to Evergreen Hill Enterprise Pte. Ltd. in March 2025 for approximately $620 million, yielding net proceeds of about $575 million primarily used for debt reduction, dividend adjustments, and a $30 million share repurchase program as part of its portfolio optimization and deleveraging strategy. In 2025, Mativ appointed Shruti Singhal as CEO, added Deborah Borg to its Board of Directors, secured its first purchase order for Argotec-brand TPU interlayer films with Miru Smart Technologies for electrochromic windows, reorganized into its current segments starting in fiscal 2024, and reported organic sales growth in Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions amid strong cash flow generation.
