- CAB Cakaran Corporation Berhad is an integrated poultry and agrifood producer based in Malaysia, operating across the entire agricultural value chain encompassing animal feed manufacturing, poultry farming, food processing, retail distribution, and quick-service restaurants. Founded in 1974, incorporated in 2002, and headquartered in Perai, Penang, Malaysia, the company operates across Peninsular Malaysia and international regional markets. CAB Cakaran structures its business into three core divisions: Integrated Poultry, Supermarket and Fast Food, and Other Operations. The company's product and service offerings comprise upstream poultry operations, including the breeding of grandparent and parent stocks, hatching egg production, day-old chick commercialization, broiler chicken farming, and poultry feed milling; midstream meat processing and value-added manufacturing, producing fresh, chilled, and frozen whole chickens, chicken parts, premium Omega-3 enriched poultry, and processed food products such as frankfurters, sausages, nuggets, deli meats, burger patties, marinated meats, and surimi-based marine products marketed under brand names including Farm's Best, Like's, AyamLike's, Segaria, Rasaria, Hennie's, and Garing; downstream retail and food services, operating grocery and supermarket chains under the Pasaraya Jaya Gading and Home Mart Fresh & Frozen banners, and managing quick-service kebab restaurant operations under the Kyros Kebab franchise; and ancillary technology services, providing agricultural drone spraying and mapping for the plantation sector alongside rooftop solar photovoltaic installations on its farm facilities. In recent major corporate developments, CAB Cakaran completed the acquisition of Cargill Feed Sdn Bhd for 231 million Malaysian ringgit, bringing four animal feed manufacturing plants under its ownership and achieving complete farm-to-fork vertical integration. Additionally, the group initiated a strategic joint venture with Indonesia's Salim Group through PT Ternak Ayam Terpadu Indonesia, investing an initial 10 million US dollars to establish a food processing facility in Batam to distribute products across Indonesian retail networks, while also executing a 105 million Malaysian ringgit expansion into solar-powered closed-house poultry farming in Terengganu and implementing a multi-year strategy to scale its domestic supermarket and food service retail network to 100 locations.
