- Camaroe Berhad is an investment holding company that operates across key business segments including agricultural agribusiness and aquaculture, food processing and consumer packaged goods, cold chain logistics and distribution, and renewable bio-energy solutions. The company operates through four principal business divisions: Aquaculture and Agribusiness, Consumer Food Products, Logistics and Supply Chain, and Renewable Energy. The Aquaculture and Agribusiness segment engages in the commercial breeding, farming, and harvesting of black tiger prawns, Pacific white shrimp, and freshwater fish; the production of formulated aquafeed and organic bio-fertilizers; the management of sustainable coastal aquaculture farms; and the provision of technical hatchery services and broodstock management. The Consumer Food Products segment manufactures, processes, and packages frozen seafood, value-added ready-to-cook seafood delicacies, breaded and battered food items, ambient canned seafood, surimi-based products, and specialty seafood seasonings marketed under proprietary consumer brands as well as private-label arrangements for multinational food retail chains, food service operators, and hospitality clients. The Logistics and Supply Chain segment provides temperature-controlled cold storage warehousing, refrigerated freight transportation, inventory handling and customs clearance, bonded logistics, and cross-border temperature-monitored supply chain management services. The Renewable Energy segment focuses on the conversion of agricultural biomass and aquaculture processing waste into biogas, organic compost, and pelletized biomass fuels for industrial co-generation facilities. Camaroe Berhad serves domestic and international markets across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, the European Union, and North America. In recent developments, Camaroe Berhad has undertaken significant strategic and operational expansions to bolster its integrated farm-to-table supply chain and sustainable operational capabilities. The company entered into a strategic joint venture with a regional marine biotechnology firm to establish advanced recirculating aquaculture systems and automated nursery facilities aimed at increasing biosecure broodstock yields. Additionally, the group completed the strategic acquisition of an industrial cold storage facility in Selangor, substantially expanding its ambient and sub-zero warehousing capacity to support growing export volumes. Camaroe Berhad also launched a new product line of eco-certified, cryogenic nitrogen-frozen seafood and value-added ready-to-eat meals targeted at export markets in East Asia. To enhance its sustainability footprint, the company finalized the commissioning of a rooftop solar photovoltaic installation across its primary manufacturing plants and initiated a bio-circular energy transition project converting processing waste into renewable power. Founded in 1994, Camaroe Berhad is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
