Business
CAM Resources Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company that operates primarily in the manufacturing and distribution of household products, palm oil milling, renewable green energy generation, and commercial aquaculture. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia, the company is publicly listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia under the ticker symbol CAMRES. CAM Resources operates through several specialized operating subsidiaries, including Central Aluminium Manufactory Sdn. Bhd., Central Melamineware Sdn. Bhd., Central Palm Oil Mill Sdn. Bhd., and Central Renewable Energy Sdn. Bhd., serving consumer, commercial, and industrial markets across Malaysia, as well as export destinations across Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. The company organizes its business operations into four core segments: Manufacturing and Trading, Palm Oil Milling, Renewable Energy, and Aquaculture. In its Manufacturing and Trading division, CAM Resources designs, produces, and markets a broad line of aluminum, stainless steel, melamine, and plastic household and commercial kitchenware products marketed under established brand names such as Eagle and Camel; product lines encompass aluminum cookware, including stockpots, saucepans, non-stick frying pans, and traditional Asian cooking woks; stainless steel kitchenware, cutlery sets, food serving trays, basins, and kitchen sinks; commercial and residential aluminum kettles, multi-tiered food steamers, and mixing vessels; durable melamine dining ware, plates, bowls, and drinkware; and plastic household wares, including storage containers, utility buckets, basins, and stools. In its Palm Oil Milling division, the company processes fresh fruit bunches to produce crude palm oil, palm kernel, and associated agricultural by-products for commercial commodity buyers and downstream edible oil refiners. In its Renewable Energy division, CAM Resources develops and operates biogas power generation facilities that utilize palm oil mill effluent and organic agricultural waste to generate renewable electrical power for supply to the national utility grid. In its Aquaculture division, the company engages in commercial shrimp farming, hatchery breeding, and the wholesale distribution of fresh and frozen aquaculture produce. In recent developments, CAM Resources Berhad has expanded its clean energy footprint by advancing commercial operations at its biogas power generation facilities under the Feed-in Tariff framework overseen by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia, supplying renewable electricity to Tenaga Nasional Berhad under long-term power purchase agreements to establish a stable recurring revenue base. Concurrently, the group has upgraded its palm oil processing facilities with advanced closed-loop waste treatment systems to enhance extraction rates and meet stricter environmental standards. Within its core manufacturing business, CAM Resources has invested in automated production machinery, precision stamping presses, and robotic polishing equipment across its Perak manufacturing facilities to improve manufacturing throughput, mitigate labor dependencies, and support expanded export sales of its Eagle and Camel branded kitchenware collections. In addition, the company has scaled up its aquaculture farming operations through the adoption of intensive, bio-secure pond management systems to increase commercial shrimp yields for regional seafood supply chains.
