- Federal International Holdings Berhad is an investment holding company specializing in general building construction, commercial and residential interior fit-out, modular furniture manufacturing, and renewable energy development. Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, the company was formerly known as Federal Furniture Holdings (M) Berhad before rebranding to reflect its diversified corporate structure. The company operates through four principal business segments: Manufacturing and Trading, Interior Fit-out, Construction, and Renewable Energy and Investments.
The company manufactures, fabricates, and distributes a comprehensive range of architectural and commercial products; custom retail fixtures and display showcases; wall, floor, and base cabinetry; modular casework and kitchen systems; office workstations and storage units; countertop surfaces and panels manufactured from medium-density fiberboard, particle board, natural timber, and acrylics; alongside trading in home appliances, decorative furnishings, and general building materials. Its Interior Fit-out division delivers turnkey fit-out contracting, space planning, design management, and architectural woodwork installation for international hotel operators, shopping centers, corporate headquarters, and residential complexes. The Construction division, managed via subsidiaries including Federal Builders Industries Sdn. Bhd., provides general contracting, civil engineering, structural construction, and project management for commercial, residential, and industrial developments. While maintaining extensive operations across Malaysia, the company exports architectural fixtures and modular products internationally to more than 15 countries across North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Africa.
In recent operational and strategic developments, Federal International Holdings Berhad has diversified its core activities and strengthened its revenue pipeline through new market ventures, corporate reorganizations, and major contract awards. The group expanded into the clean power generation sector via its jointly controlled entity, WREA RE Assets Sdn. Bhd., collaborating with partners such as the Asia Greentech Fund and Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd. to develop, acquire, and manage rooftop solar photovoltaic installations and utility assets backed by power purchase agreements with Tenaga Nasional Berhad. Within its construction operations, Federal Builders Industries Sdn. Bhd. secured a 64.9 million Malaysian ringgit building contract from Perumahan Masteron Sdn. Bhd. for a major development in Petaling Jaya Selatan. Additionally, the group updated its corporate portfolio structure, which included rebranding wholly owned subsidiary Pelantar Agresif (M) Sdn. Bhd. to Federal AI Cloud Sdn. Bhd. to support strategic digital and technology-driven business opportunities.
