- Johor Plantations Group Berhad operates as an integrated agribusiness company engaged in the cultivation of oil palm, processing of fresh fruit bunches, production of palm oil products, and generation of renewable energy. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, which includes: crude palm oil and certified sustainable crude palm oil; palm kernels and certified sustainable palm kernels; specialty oils, fats, and customized refinery fractions; animal feed ingredients and palm kernel expeller; high-yielding oil palm seeds and germinated seedlings; organic biofertilisers and agricultural inputs; renewable biomethane gas and biomass-generated electricity derived from palm oil mill effluent; wholesale trading of agricultural machinery, equipment, and replacement parts; and plantation management advisory, agronomic consultancy, and occupational safety and health training services. The group operates an agricultural land bank encompassing approximately 59,781 hectares across 23 oil palm estates and five palm oil processing mills located primarily in Johor and Pahang, Malaysia, catering to domestic edible oil refiners, industrial food processors, oleochemical manufacturers, and international buyers across Asia and Europe.
In recent strategic developments, the company completed its initial public offering on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in July 2024, raising approximately RM735 million to finance downstream expansion and capital expenditures. A substantial portion of the proceeds is allocated to the development of the Integrated Sustainable Palm Oil Complex in Pasir Logok, Johor. As part of its downstream integration, the group established JPG Fuji Sdn Bhd, a joint venture with Fuji Oil Asia Pte. Ltd., to construct and operate a specialized palm oil and specialty fats refinery aimed at producing sustainable and traceable ingredients for global markets. Furthermore, in December 2025, the group acquired the remaining 45 percent equity interest in JPG Greenergy Ventures Sdn Bhd to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary, consolidating its biomethane commercialization and renewable energy portfolio. These operational milestones follow the company's corporate restructuring and formal name change from Mahamurni Plantations Sdn Bhd to Johor Plantations Berhad in February 2023, and subsequently to Johor Plantations Group Berhad in November 2023.
Johor Plantations Group Berhad was incorporated in 1978 and is headquartered in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The company operates as a subsidiary of Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, the agribusiness arm of state investment corporation Johor Corporation.
