Business
Kobay Technology Bhd is an investment holding company providing high-precision engineering solutions, primarily through manufacturing precision machined components, precision metal stamping, sheet metal fabrication, die casting parts, aluminium extrusions and surface treatments, precision moulds and tooling, semiconductor assembly and testing equipment, heavy metal structures and modules for oil and gas, and aerospace sub-assemblies; it also engages in property development, pharmaceutical wholesale, asset management, and hospitality services. The company, founded in 1984 and headquartered in George Town, Penang, Malaysia, operates manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, China, and Thailand, serving multinational clients in the semiconductor, electrical and electronics, aerospace, medical devices, life sciences, oil and gas, and solar industries across Malaysia, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. In June 2025, Kobay reallocates RM20.74 million of unutilised proceeds from its 2021 private placement to expand electronic and electrical (E&E) manufacturing capabilities within eight months, prioritising this over further aluminium plant development while maintaining existing capacity.
