Sern Kou Resources Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company principally engaged in the manufacturing and trading of wooden furniture and the processing and trading of wood products. The company operates through two main segments: Manufacturing and Trading of Furniture, which produces rubberwood-based dining furniture, living room furniture, bedroom sets, and occasional furniture as an original design manufacturer and original equipment manufacturer; and Processing and Trading of Wood, which encompasses sawmill operations, kiln-drying, lamination, plywood manufacturing from tropical hardwood and rubberwood, logging, and trading of rubberwood, timber logs, and related products. It maintains sawmills in Kelantan at Kuala Krai and Gua Musang, with plywood production integrated at the latter facility, and also engages in forest planting, replanting, conservation, and biotechnology research and development. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Muar, Johor, the company serves markets primarily in Malaysia, the United States, European countries, and Asia-Pacific regions, exporting furniture and wood products to these areas.
