Business
Newfoundland Discovery Corp. (CSE:NEWD) is a Canadian junior mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, evaluation, exploration, and development of gold and lithium properties. The company holds a diversified portfolio of projects including the Rodger's Cove gold property in Newfoundland, where it earned a 100% interest; the Sugaree Lithium Project comprising 340 claims over 2,376 hectares in Ontario's Quetico Subprovince; properties straddling the Appleton Fault Zone and JBP Fault in Newfoundland's Central Newfoundland Gold Belt; and additional assets in Quebec's La Corne lithium pegmatite field, Chapais-Chibougamau area, Hearst Lithium District, and Detour Lake District, as well as British Columbia. It targets high-grade gold veining associated with regional faults and lithium pegmatites in mining-friendly jurisdictions across Canada. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, the company operates primarily in Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. Recent developments include a share consolidation and effective date announcement in late 2024; board changes and officer transitions; termination of option agreements for the Goldson, Maxwell, JMW, and Schefferville properties; dispositions of the Chubb and Bouvier lithium properties; closure of the Sugaree property transaction; acquisition of the Voltstone Project through strategic staking in Northwestern Ontario; expansion of landholdings in the Hearst Lithium District nearly fourfold and in the Quetico Subprovince with the Newland acquisition; commencement of geophysical surveys and diamond drilling at Quebec gold and lithium projects; and a $1.5 million financing led by Eric Sprott.
