NEC Corporation recently announced in October 2025 its agreement to acquire U.S.-based CSG Systems International, Inc. CSG Systems International, Inc. for approximately $2.9 billion to bolster its SaaS portfolio, enhance OSS/BSS capabilities via subsidiary Netcracker Technology, and expand global reach in digital transformation for communication providers and industries including financial services and healthcare. In the same month, NEC achieved Cisco Gold Provider status under an expanded Global System Integrator Agreement, strengthening joint offerings in AI datacenters, cybersecurity, private 5G, and automation for service providers and enterprises. The company implemented organizational changes effective April 1, 2025, consolidating government, healthcare, and smart city businesses into its Public Solutions unit to address growing DX demand, while advancing partnerships such as with Broadcom for VMware Cloud Foundation-managed services and NEC Thailand with AIRA Group for digital supply chain solutions.
