VanEck Funds - Onchain Economy ETF (NYSE Arca: NODE) is an actively managed, U.S.-domiciled exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term capital appreciation through investments in companies and financial instruments materially connected to the onchain economy. Launched on May 13, 2025, the Fund is advised by Van Eck Absolute Return Advisers Corporation and distributed by Van Eck Securities Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Van Eck Associates Corporation. NODE provides investors with publicly traded equity and exchange-traded-product exposure to blockchain infrastructure; digital-asset exchanges, brokerage and custody-related services; payment, transaction-processing and internet-commerce platforms using digital assets; bitcoin mining and mining-services businesses; high-performance-computing, data-center and AI-infrastructure operators; energy, power-generation and energy-infrastructure providers; financial-technology companies; and selected digital-asset instruments, including exchange-traded products with bitcoin, ether and other digital-asset exposure. The Fund does not invest directly in bitcoin, ether or other digital assets or commodities. Its portfolio may include U.S. and non-U.S. issuers, including companies operating across North America, Europe and Asia, and it may use a wholly owned Cayman Islands subsidiary for certain investments. NODE employs fundamental security selection, portfolio diversification and bitcoin-market-cycle indicators to adjust risk exposure; as of August 31, 2026, its strategy emphasizes crypto-linked equities, bitcoin miners transitioning toward AI data-center capacity, digital-asset financial-services companies and digital-asset ETPs. Recent portfolio actions include the reduction of non-core holdings, an increase in bitcoin ETP exposure and selected mining-company positions, and a reduction in the number of portfolio holdings from 49 at July 31, 2026 to 44 at August 31, 2026; bitcoin-miner exposure represented 41.5% of the portfolio and crypto ETPs represented 17.4% at that date. The adviser also continues to position the Fund around the convergence of blockchain infrastructure, crypto finance, energy and AI computing, while monitoring regulatory, financing and data-center-development conditions affecting mining and high-performance-computing investments.
