Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Kolkata, India, with key operations in Mumbai and other locations, BIL Vyapar maintains a minimal employee base of nine and focuses on strategic oversight rather than direct production. In June 2025, the company changed its name from Binani Industries Ltd. to BIL Vyapar Ltd. to reflect its trading and holding focus; recently faced initiation of Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) amid financial challenges and stock volatility; and reported ongoing losses with zero revenue in Q2 FY2025-26, alongside stake sales by promoters and heavy market selling pressure.
