Business
Ganesh Consumer Products Limited manufactures, processes, and markets packaged staple food products and fast-moving consumer goods in India. The company operates across multiple core food categories, offering packaged flour and grain derivatives, including chakki fresh whole wheat atta, sharbati atta, multigrain atta, maida, suji, besan, sattu, and daliya; packaged pulses and legumes, including toor dal, moong dal, masoor dal, chana dal, and kabuli chana; culinary and edible oils, including kachi ghani mustard oil, refined soybean oil, and rice bran oil; packaged spices, including turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, and blended spice mixes; and packaged convenience foods, including papad, macaroni, pasta, vermicelli, soya chunks, and ready-mix staples. The company commercializes its offerings primarily under the Ganesh brand across general trade retail, modern supermarket chains, quick-commerce channels, and institutional food service clients. In recent developments, Ganesh Consumer Products Limited has broadened its product portfolio with the rollout of millet-based flour blends, organic packaged staples, and value-added fortified grain variants to address increasing consumer preference for health and wellness products. The company has expanded and modernized its automated milling, processing, and packaging infrastructure across Eastern India to enhance operational throughput and supply chain resilience. Ganesh Consumer Products Limited has also accelerated its multi-channel retail footprint by establishing strategic supply partnerships with leading quick-commerce platforms and national modern trade chains, alongside expanding direct-to-consumer fulfillment capabilities. Supported by growth capital and strategic backing from private equity investors including Motilal Oswal Alternates, the company has completed organizational realignment to transition from a regional commodity miller into an institutionalized, pan-regional consumer packaged goods enterprise. Founded in 1936, Ganesh Consumer Products Limited is headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and maintains extensive processing facilities and distribution networks primarily serving domestic consumer and commercial food markets across Eastern, North-Eastern, and Northern India.
