Business
Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited, founded in 1932 and headquartered in Noida, India, operates as a diversified conglomerate primarily engaged in sugar and alcohol production; power co-generation; engineering solutions encompassing power transmission equipment including high-speed gears, gearboxes, and steam turbines; water and wastewater treatment systems; and defence applications. The company manufactures refined sugar, multi-grade white crystal sugar, pharmaceutical-grade sugar; ethanol, extra neutral alcohol, and potable liquor through distilleries using molasses and grains; high-speed and low-speed turbo gears, gearboxes for steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, blowers, marine propulsion, and industrial uses compliant with API, AGMA, DIN, and ISO standards; as well as comprehensive water management solutions including sewage treatment, effluent treatment, zero liquid discharge, and recycle-reuse systems. It serves industrial clients in refineries, cement plants, steel plants, paper mills, petrochemicals, fertilizers, rubber, plastics, and power sectors across India and nearby countries; trades in fast-moving consumer goods under its brands; and generates power using bagasse. In recent developments, the company acquired a 61.77% stake in Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises Limited in 2024, making it a subsidiary to enhance operational synergies in sugar production; commissioned a new 200 KLPD multi-feed distillery at Rani Nangal, Uttar Pradesh; launched premium Indian Made Foreign Liquor brands THE CRAFTERS STAMP and MATSYA in Uttar Pradesh in July 2024; received an ICRA long-term rating upgrade to AA+ (Stable); and pursues a proposed scheme of amalgamation with Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises and demerger of the power transmission business, approved by stock exchanges with National Company Law Tribunal stakeholder meetings underway as of late 2025. Geographically, Triveni Engineering maintains key manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh and other Indian states, with a growing international footprint in engineering exports and plans for a European subsidiary to promote power transmission business.
