The company operates 26 manufacturing plants, five technical centers and 13 customer service centers across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Mexico, India and other regions, serving over 60 customers including BMW, Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Volkswagen, BYD, Chery, Geely and Xpeng. Founded in 1906 with roots in Saginaw, Michigan, and headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Nexteer functions as a subsidiary of Nexteer Automotive (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited and trades under ticker NTXVF. In recent developments, Nexteer signs a September 2025 memorandum of understanding with Suzhou Industrial Park authorities for a new 10-hectare smart manufacturing project in Suzhou, China, to build a 70,000 square meter facility advancing intelligent and green production for electric power steering and steer-by-wire technologies while relocating from its current leased site; the company opens a smart manufacturing and testing facility in Changshu, China, in January 2025 and breaks ground on a new facility in Liuzhou, China, in July 2025 for enhanced OEM support; it expands its Mexico Technical Center in Queretaro for Q4 2025 completion and transforms its Saginaw, Michigan, site through consolidation and modernization; additionally, Nexteer launches 77 customer programs in 2024, including 45 on electric vehicle platforms, achieving record revenue of US$4.3 billion.
