OPAL Fuels Inc. (Nasdaq: OPAL) produces and distributes renewable natural gas (RNG) for heavy-duty trucking fleets and other hard-to-decarbonize industrial sectors; captures methane emissions from landfills and dairy farms, purifying them into low-carbon intensity RNG and renewable power; designs, develops, constructs, operates, and services RNG and hydrogen fueling stations; generates and sells renewable power to utilities; and markets environmental attributes, low-carbon fuel standard credits, commodity natural gas, and pipeline-quality RNG throughout the United States and into Canada. The company operates a vertically integrated waste-to-energy model with annual design capacity exceeding 9 million MMBtu across twelve RNG projects; targets heavy-duty transportation including Class 8 trucking, utilities, and industrial users; and maintains a development pipeline including over 350 completed fueling stations nationwide. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in White Plains, New York, OPAL Fuels reports increased RNG production of 3.8 million MMBtu in 2024, up 41% from prior year; placed the Atlantic RNG project online in 2025 and commenced construction on the CMS Concord RNG facility in North Carolina representing 0.7 million MMBtu net annual capacity; added four new landfill RNG projects with combined 1.5 million MMBtu OPAL share expected to produce 20 million gasoline gallon equivalents annually upon full operations starting 2026-2027; entered five new fuel station services agreements for Canadian operations in March 2025; completed multiple sales of IRA investment tax credits totaling over $40 million in gross proceeds during 2025; and targets 2 million MMBtu of new RNG construction for the year amid policy support for RNG.
