The company produces periscopes including laser-protected and non-laser protected plastic and glass models, electronic M17 day/thermal periscopes, and vision blocks; sighting systems such as backup sights, digital day and night sights, M36 thermal periscopes, unity mirrors, commander weapon station sights, and sight refurbishments; howitzers featuring M137 telescopes, M187 mounts, M119 aiming devices, and XM10 aiming circles; applied optics products like laser interference filters, reticles, day windows, specialty thin film coatings, muzzle reference systems, binoculars, collimators, and optical lenses; as well as rifle sights, surveillance sights, night vision optical assemblies, and the Speedtracker radar-based chronograph. Its products equip various U.S. military vehicles including Abrams and Bradley fighting vehicles, Light Armored Vehicles, Armored Security Vehicles, and Stryker family platforms, with sales directed to the federal government, prime contractors, and foreign governments through its wholly-owned subsidiary Optex Systems, Inc. and the Applied Optics Center segment. In January 2024, Optex Systems Holdings, Inc. acquired Speedtracker from RUB Aluminum, establishing a contract manufacturing agreement to expand distribution of the Mach 4+ chronograph line; recent contracts include a $6.5 million order for laser-protected periscopes, a $5.7 million award for XM157 Next Generation Fire Control Scope laser filter units with deliveries through 2026, a $4.2 million deal from BAE Systems for Bradley Fighting Vehicle periscopes and sights, and a $2.8 million order for XM30 Combat Vehicle sighting systems, boosting backlog beyond $46 million.
