Business
Orosur Mining Inc. is a South American-focused mineral exploration and development company that identifies, explores and advances precious metals projects, primarily gold, in mining-friendly jurisdictions. The company holds 100% ownership of its flagship Anzá gold project in Colombia's prolific Middle Cauca Belt, which spans approximately 330 square kilometers and encompasses high-grade prospects including Pepas, APTA and El Cedro where over 50,000 meters of drilling have identified extensive mineralization; it also maintains a 51% interest in the early-stage El Pantano gold/silver project covering 550 square kilometers in Argentina's Deseado Massif through a joint venture with DESE DOR S.A., with an option to increase to 100% by investing $2 million by February 2027. Operations target gold and associated silver deposits for institutional and retail investors in the precious metals sector, with activities conducted via wholly owned subsidiaries Minera Anzá S.A.S. and Minera Monte Aguila S.A.S. in Colombia. Founded in 1996 as a Yukon-incorporated entity and formerly known as Uruguay Mineral Exploration Inc. until its name change in January 2010, Orosur Mining lists on the TSX Venture Exchange and AIM under the ticker OMI, with executive offices in Toronto, Canada, and dispersed international management. In a major strategic shift within the last year, the company completed the acquisition of Minera Monte Aguila in November 2024 from prior joint venture partners Newmont Mining and Agnico Eagle Mines, regaining 100% control of the Anzá project after a 12-year collaboration and enabling accelerated exploration including infill drilling at Pepas targeting an initial mineral resource estimate by year-end 2025, soil geochemistry at El Cedro confirming high-grade potential with plans for airborne surveys and drilling in early 2026, and the launch of its first drill program at El Pantano. Recent operational updates as of October 2025 highlight ongoing high-grade intersections at Pepas and identification of additional porphyry systems at El Cedro, alongside warrant exercises bolstering its capital position.
