Business
Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A. is an offshore drilling services provider that engages in the exploration, appraisal, development, workover, and decommissioning of offshore oil and gas reserves. The company provides a comprehensive suite of contract drilling and marine services; ultra-deepwater and deepwater drilling operations; managed pressure drilling solutions; well completion and intervention services; subsea plug and abandonment operations; integrated drill pipe riser services; and third-party offshore rig management and operational support. Constellation operates a proprietary fleet of dynamically positioned ultra-deepwater drillships and midwater to ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rigs capable of operating in water depths reaching up to 12,000 feet, featuring drillship assets such as Brava Star, Amaralina Star, and Laguna Star, as well as semi-submersible units including Alpha Star, Gold Star, Lone Star, and Atlantic Star. The company caters primarily to national oil companies, international integrated energy majors, and independent exploration and production operators, with its core operational activities concentrated in deepwater, ultra-deepwater, and pre-salt basins offshore Brazil, specifically within the Campos and Santos basins. Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A., formerly known as QGOG Constellation S.A., traces its operational origin to 1981 and is legally headquartered in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, with primary operational and corporate headquarters located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In recent developments, Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A. has substantially expanded its contracted revenue backlog to approximately 2.8 billion dollars through major long-term contract renegotiations, operational expansions, and fleet modernization initiatives. The company finalized substantial blend-and-extend agreements with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), securing a four-year contract extension for the ultra-deepwater drillship Brava Star running through December 2030 with upgraded Managed Pressure Drilling capabilities; a contract extension for the semi-submersible rig Gold Star running through December 2028 with integrated drill pipe riser system additions for workover and well abandonment campaigns; and an extension for the semi-submersible rig Alpha Star running through December 2028. Furthermore, the company secured a multi-year drilling contract for the drillship Amaralina Star with Petrobras, expanded drilling campaigns for independent exploration and production operators including Brava Energia and Karoon Energy, and enhanced its operational scope by undertaking third-party offshore rig operations, including the technical management of the jack-up rig Admarine 511 for shallow-water decommissioning programs.
