Business
Leslie's, Inc. is a direct-to-consumer retailer and service provider in the pool and spa care industry in the United States. The company provides a comprehensive assortment of pool and spa maintenance products, equipment, and related outdoor living supplies to residential, professional, and commercial customers through an extensive network of physical retail locations, e-commerce platforms, and commercial service centers. The company's product portfolio comprises pool and spa chemicals, including chlorine, non-chlorine sanitizers, shock treatments, algaecides, clarifiers, and water balancers; pool equipment and replacement parts, including pumps, motors, filtration systems, heaters, heat pumps, automatic pool cleaners, automation controls, and saltwater chlorination systems; maintenance and cleaning accessories, including leaf skimmers, brushes, telescoping poles, vacuum heads, hoses, and electronic water testing equipment; safety, seasonal, and recreational products, including winter and safety covers, security fencing, ladders, rails, pool floats, lounges, games, and outdoor patio furniture; and commercial-grade chemical feeding and water treatment systems. In addition to physical goods, the company provides specialized services, including complimentary computerized in-store water analysis and customized treatment plans via its proprietary AccuBlue platform; on-site residential and commercial equipment installation, diagnostic, and repair services; seasonal pool opening and closing services; and dedicated commercial support programs for professional pool service operators, hospitality venues, and municipal aquatic facilities. The company operates through primary subsidiaries, including Leslie's Poolmart, Inc. and Cortz, Inc., marketing its offerings through proprietary brands, licensed labels, and prominent third-party manufacturers across physical stores, specialized commercial branches, and digital channels such as LesliesPool.com and InTheSwim.com. In September 2026, Leslie's, Inc. and its domestic subsidiaries initiated voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas under a prearranged Restructuring Support Agreement with its primary funded debt holders. The restructuring plan is designed to eliminate approximately 685 million dollars in funded debt, supported by 90 million dollars in new-money debtor-in-possession financing alongside a 225 million dollar asset-based lending facility, and entails the rationalization of its retail footprint through the closure of 76 underperforming store locations. In connection with the court-supervised proceedings, the company's common stock was delisted from the Nasdaq Global Select Market and transitioned to over-the-counter trading under the ticker symbol LESLQ, with existing senior lenders expected to assume majority equity ownership upon the company's emergence. Founded in 1963, Leslie's, Inc. is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
