- Paragon Advanced Labs Inc. provides advanced mineral analytical technologies and laboratory services to mining producers, developers and exploration companies worldwide. The Company operates a hub-and-spoke network of mineral assay laboratories and sample-preparation facilities, delivering PhotonAssay™-based gold, silver and copper analysis; conventional fire assay; geochemical and multi-element testing; carbon and sulphur analysis; mercury testing; sample preparation; quality assurance and quality control services; and Veracio Core Scanner-based near-real-time, multi-element core analytics. PhotonAssay™ is a rapid, non-destructive analytical method that enables larger sample sizes and avoids hazardous chemicals associated with traditional fire assay processes. Paragon serves customers principally in the gold-mining and mineral-exploration sectors through facilities in Sparks, Nevada; Hamilton and Thunder Bay, Ontario; and Surrey, British Columbia, while pursuing broader international deployment. The Company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and operates within the Paragon Network of Companies alongside Paragon Geochemical. Paragon’s strategy centers on expanding its commercially operated PhotonAssay™ fleet, supported by its technology partnership with Chrysos Corporation Limited, the manufacturer of PhotonAssay™ systems; the Company targets deployment of 12 units by the first half of 2027 following a recent US$16 million equity financing. McEwen Inc., a mining company with operations in Argentina, Nevada, Ontario and Mexico, is Paragon’s largest strategic shareholder with an approximately 27% ownership interest. In 2026, Paragon entered into a memorandum of understanding with McEwen to develop a dual-laboratory project in Eureka, Nevada, under which McEwen will fund land acquisition and laboratory construction and Paragon will equip, staff and operate a commercial laboratory featuring PhotonAssay™, sample preparation, fire assay and ICP capabilities; the parties also contemplate potential PhotonAssay™ laboratory developments at McEwen’s Fox Complex in Timmins, Ontario, and El Gallo Mine in Mexico, subject to performance benchmarks and definitive agreements. During 2026, Paragon expanded sample-preparation capacity across its network, reconfigured and expanded its Sparks laboratory with the objective of more than doubling geochemical throughput, added dedicated mercury testing in Surrey, secured new and expanded business from major and intermediate gold producers, and onboarded its first significant Veracio Core Scanner customer. The Company also appointed John Pizimolas as Chief Commercial Officer, Kurt Headrick as Head of Operations and Laurentiu Fulea as Canadian Operations Manager, and completed a debt settlement through the issuance of common shares.
