Business
Pool Corporation is the world's largest wholesale distributor of swimming pool supplies, equipment, and related outdoor living products. The company manufactures and distributes a broad range of products including pool maintenance supplies, pool construction materials, repair and replacement parts such as cleaners, filters, and heaters, as well as outdoor living products like irrigation and landscape maintenance items. Its product categories span chemicals, pool accessories, fencing, and hot tubs. Pool Corporation operates a vast distribution network with over 450 sales centers primarily in North America and serves both residential and commercial markets. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Covington, Louisiana, Pool Corporation has expanded its footprint through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. Recent major changes include the acquisition of Great Plains Supply Pool and Spa Products in 2025, which expanded its product offerings and regional presence. Additionally, the company completed an earlier acquisition of Porpoise Pool & Patio in 2021, adding wholesale distribution capabilities and franchisor relationships in the southeastern U.S. Pool Corporation also announced new strategic partnerships, including a 2025 agreement with Aiper to offer innovative cordless robotic cleaning technology for pools. The company continues to expand by opening new sales centers and broadening its private-label products, reinforcing its market leadership and elevating customer service. Pool Corporation reported record sales of approximately $6.2 billion in 2024, reflecting strong demand across its extensive product categories, particularly in the residential pool market, driven by increased consumer spending on home improvement and outdoor living. The company celebrated its 30th anniversary as a publicly traded entity on the Nasdaq in 2025. Pool Corporation's operations span the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and select international markets. Its target customers include pool service professionals, retail dealers, builders, and commercial enterprises. Overall, Pool Corporation combines comprehensive product manufacturing, broad wholesale distribution, strategic acquisitions, and innovative product partnerships to maintain its leading position in the swimming pool and outdoor living industries globally. Its continued operational expansion and product diversification enable it to capture growing market opportunities and deliver value to a diverse customer base.
