Repower Energy Development Corporation (PSE: REDC) is a Philippines-based renewable energy developer and independent power producer primarily engaged in the development, construction, operation, and management of run-of-river hydroelectric power facilities and sustainable energy infrastructure. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Makati City, Philippines, the company operates as a core subsidiary of Pure Energy Holdings Corporation. The company’s primary products, operational capabilities, and services include clean electricity generation and supply derived from run-of-river mini-hydropower installations; electricity commercialization through the Philippine Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) scheme, bilateral Power Supply Agreements (PSAs), Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), and the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM); development and deployment of seawater pumped-storage hydroelectric energy systems; comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) for water-to-power facilities; plant modernization, retrofitting, and operational optimization utilizing advanced European turbine technologies; and integrated water resources management, water distribution infrastructure, and clustered transmission grid development. The company serves public and private utilities, the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo), the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), and regional electric cooperatives across key operating provinces in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including Laguna, Quezon, Camarines Sur, Samar, and Bukidnon. In recent corporate developments, Repower Energy Development Corporation has accelerated its nationwide capacity growth, strategic partnerships, and asset portfolio following its listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange. The company formed an extensive strategic partnership with Japanese conglomerate TOKAI Holdings Corporation, which increased its equity holding in REDC to 20.1 percent via a PHP 3.43 billion investment to jointly pursue carbon-neutral energy projects, including the Joint Crediting Mechanism-supported Piapi River small hydropower facility. To pioneer regional energy storage solutions, REDC entered into a strategic collaboration with Austrian equipment manufacturer Gugler Water Turbines GMBH to construct the country's first seawater pumped-storage power plant in Real, Quezon. On the mergers and acquisitions front, the company entered into an agreement to acquire Taft Hydroenergy Corp. along with its 15.93-megawatt Tubig Hydropower Plant in Eastern Samar for PHP 3.925 billion to expand its operating capacity by approximately 45 percent, and completed the acquisition of Kitaotao Hydropower Corp. in Bukidnon. Additionally, REDC expanded its corporate structure by establishing new operating subsidiaries, including Tagoloan Hydropower Corp., MF Hydropower Corp. for multi-technology clean energy development, and Maramag Hydropower Corp. for the 25-megawatt Pulangi IV project, while bringing online key assets such as the 18.19-megawatt Cabanglasan Hydropower Plant in Bukidnon and the Blue Energy facility in Quezon.
