Incorporated in 1979 and headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan, the company operates as a flagship entity of the Sapphire Group. The company conducts its operations through multiple specialized business divisions: Spinning and Yarn Manufacturing, producing a broad portfolio of single, plied, compact, slub, mélange, core-spun, and dyed yarns, as well as technical and specialized yarns composed of natural cotton, organic cotton, modal, Tencel, viscose, recycled polyester, aramid, and blended synthetic fibers; Fabric and Denim Manufacturing, producing woven, greige, bleached, dyed, and printed fabrics, alongside sustainable denim textiles marketed under the Neela by Sapphire brand; Apparel and Garment Manufacturing, providing cut, sew, and finished garment production for global retail and fashion markets; Power Generation, managing energy generation assets across thermal and renewable sources; Consumer Electronics, engaged in the assembly and manufacturing of major domestic home appliances; and Farm Services, providing modern agricultural inputs and farming solutions. Sapphire Fibres Limited serves both domestic converters and international textile and apparel brands across export markets in Asia, Europe, and North America, operating primary manufacturing and processing facilities situated in Sheikhupura and Lahore. In recent corporate developments, Sapphire Fibres Limited completed a statutory merger with Reliance Cotton Spinning Mills Limited in 2026, consolidating spinning assets to achieve greater operational scale and supply-chain integration. Expanding its diversified energy portfolio, the company formed a consortium with Mindbridge (Private) Limited to acquire a 100 percent equity stake in thermal power producers Uch Power (Private) Limited and Uch-II Power (Private) Limited. Additionally, through its subsidiary Sapphire Electronics, the company entered into a strategic manufacturing and assembly partnership with Samsung Electronics to produce Samsung-branded home appliances, including smart LED televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, in Pakistan.
